Rowan Boulevard is a mixed-use, urban redevelopment project that will serve as the cornerstone to reviving Glassboro’s deteriorated downtown area. The project covers 27 acres and includes student housing, a town square, a 107-room hotel and conference center, a 35,000 SF Barnes & Nobel bookstore with a Starbucks Café. Five four-story, mixed-use buildings will provide another 140,000 SF of office space, 149,000 SF of retail space and 207,000 SF of residential space.
Ground was broken for the first phase in August of 2007 and construction will be completed in 2010. The total estimated cost of the project is $300 million.
